You will see a folder with the name New Folder Highlight the words New Folder and type in a name for the folder

right click on the desktop then click on New and then folder

double click on the folder to open it and leave it open on your desktop
take some pictures with you camera and then insert the memory card from you camera into your computer
double click on the letters DCIM
double click on the first number that you see below the camera name
your photos will appear in the LIST view and each one will be assigned a number in your camera card
click on the arrow and choose the option that reads Large Icons so that yon can see the actual photos
you should see your photos and each one will have a number that was assigned in your camera
Next return to the List view by clicking the arrow and click on List

your photos will appear in the LIST view again
RIGHT click in the big empty area of the folder that you created and left open on your desktop and then click on the Paste option
LEFT click your mouse on one of the photos to highlight it and then press the Crtl key and the letter a on your keyboard at the SAME time
Next, highlight all of the photos that are on your camera card. Then click the Del (delete) key on your keyboard to delete the photos. Place the memory card back into your camera so that you can take more photos ;-)
Next, you can rename the photos that are in the folder that you created on your computer. It does not matter which “view” you see when you rename your photos.
